Brighton 0 Bournemouth 5

It’s squeaky bum time in Sussex as Brighton were thrashed by neighbours Bournemouth 5-0 in El Coastico.

Defeat next Tuesday at home to Cardiff and we could be joining Huddersfield and Fulham.

The key to Brighton’s survival has been home form and a reliable defence but neither were apparent yesterday.

With Sussex losing their first Championship game at Hove v Leicestershire, I can hardly remember a worse sporting week down here.

It’s normally me that commiserates Alan Tanner but after Fulham’s best performance of the seasons in beating Everton 2-0 it was the other way round. I still think we will stay up but I worry about next season given the alarming collapse in form this year.
