PGA punting

I do not know if Steve Palmer of the Racing Post reads my column but it might be, as last Sunday he wrote that he has revised his betting philosophy with smaller staking. A small stake for Steve is £100 – twice what I would bet collectively – but he says it’s taken the strain off him. To be fair to him, two of his picks Russell Henley and Chris Kirk, finished in the top 5 of the McCaffrey won by Robert Streb in a play off with Will McKenzie and Brendan De Jong. Streb now qualifies for two years on the PGA and the Masters, so he has much to celebrate apart from the birth of his first child.

Stefano Ursolini thought that I Viola might get a point at Milan so I lumped on with all of a tenner. Fiorentina deservedly drew 1-1 so I was more than happy watching them on BT sport and after that the golf.
