Search called off
I’m up early this morning and the sad news has just been confirmed on Radio Five Live that the US coastguards have called off their search for the four missing Brit sailors, having found the overturned hull of the Cheeky Rafiki and established that their lifeboat was never even deployed.

Last year my son, very much a ‘matter of fact’ sort of guy, likened a storm his yacht had ensured on its Atlantic crossing to being inside a giant washing-machine, half-full with water, through a 54-hour washing cycle.
