Happy New Year from Nancy Bright- Thompson

We were rather cut off by the storms in East Sussex so we had a quiet dinner with our neighbours. Polly, our horse dealing friend from Brighton, came over during the day and spent some time in the sanctuary. She is one of these bright young women that always lifts our spirits, but she was seeing in the New Year in Brighton. Tomorrow we hope to do our traditional 6 mile walk on the South Downs which  though windy can be very picturesque at this time of year. We finish at the Ram at Firle for a roast and mulled wine.
