With the 2015 General Election campaign off to a somewhat low-key start – can anyone tell me with it has officially begun yet? – it is always comforting and reassuring to receive yet more confirmation that our political elite, and the cohorts of administrative Sir Humphreys that support them in their castle in the sky, are made of clay just like the rest of us.
