Technology marches on

The news earlier this week that engineers at Sony have been developing a male ‘Smart-Wig’ is most welcome.

According to media reports this item, which is intended to combine the benefits of simultaneously giving the wearer both the appearance of having a full head of hair – albeit taken from a yak – and potential access to a computer’s ability to retain, assess and transmit data, is almost too good to let pass without comment.

Sadly, it appears that the Sony ‘Smart-Wig’ is not likely to be available to the public for another two years.

More’s the pity. If it could be programmed with the ability – at any time – to tell my husband where he was and why he was there, it would certainly be a priority on my present-buying list this Christmas!
