The Alex Mitrovic saga is now thankfully over with the Serb hitman taking Saudi lucre. He has served Fulham well but you feel he has served himself better.

One of the reasons for the popularity of the Lionesses is they seem devoid of the greed of the modern day male footballer.

One of the Lionesses, Alessia Russo, knew and met George Cohen through his granddaughter Ellie.

George had only one club – just like the incomparable Johnny Haynes – and still reached the pinnacle of achievement by being one of the few Englishmen to win a World Cup winners’ medal.

Alex Mitrovic score a bunch of goals for the Whites but unlike George he will never be a Fulham legend.
