Valentine’s Day
Call me soppy if you will, but I like St Valentine’s Day. What is the problem being romantic once a year? I composed poems for my two favourite poppets Grania and Julia. I will not publish them as:
1) they are not very good;
2) they contain in-joke;s
3) it’s none of your business.
I received two Valentine messages, one from my financial controller and the other from a contract cleaner, but none from the poppets though both enjoyed theirs.
l met Grania for a drink, both of us braving the elements. Restored by a large Remy Martin, and notwithstanding the brutal weather, we got into romantic mode. St Valentine’s Day has not entirely been railroaded by the card industry for their own commercial purposes . It does us no harm to find our romantic side.
