Last weekend, despite its dedicated finance research team’s best efforts, once again your editorial board breathed a collective sign of relief when The Sunday Times Rich List hit the news stands without mentioning the Rust or its multi-layered off-shore ownership details.

We continue to take pride in our much-envied reputation for breaking stories that go to dominate the global news agenda – as witness Arthur Nelson’s post as recently as last Sunday highlighting the blight on human society represented by the twin evils of cycling and electric scooters.

Where the Rust treads in the foothills of the highest traditions of investigative journalism others soon follow.
