Another defeat for Sussex Sharks.

Last night at Bristol Sussex Sharks suffered their second consecutive defeat in the start of the T20 Vitality Blast competition.

Time was when the Sharks could field a side better than some international ones – with the likes of Jofra Archer (broken down with a back injury) and Chris Jordan (now at Surrey), Phil Salt (now at Lancashire) and other notable competitors at this format (Chris Nash, South Africans David Wiese and van Zyl, Kiwi Ross Turner and Afghan Rahid Khan.

The current side that have now lost to Glamorgan which was scheduled as Jofra Archer’s come back game and Gloucestershire are a long way short.

Still, it’s only 2 matches into the competition with 12 games to go, but things must improve starting with Sunday’s game at Hove versus Kent Spitfires.

The only satisfaction for Sussex is the form of Mohammed Rizwan who in both games contributed with significant scores.

Sadly none of others could emulate this.

There is also concern that overseas players like Rashad Khan were signed but are unable to play due to other commitments.
