Brighton 1 Burnley 1
The jury is not so much out but close to a decision on Graham Potter.
No one could understand the dropping of Shane Duffy, player of the year last season, and whilst our play is more attractive on the eye it has not corrected disastrous home form – 8 games without a win.
We dominated against Burnley but a late strike from Hendrick ensured the Clarets returned oop north with a point.
I had my normal long chat with Alan Tanner afterwards. Fulham also drew 1-1 after taking the lead, a game I watched on SKY. He said to stay up you had to beat your peers down at the bottom at home.
8 wins makes 24 points and the odd point on the road and along the way and bingo you have 35. The Seagulls don’t look like achieving this. Fulham’s possession style is similarly attractive but right now they are not in the play off positions and need to learn how to defend a lead and close out a game.
As do Brighton.
