Bristol Bears 40 Harlequins 14

This game was much hyped by the talkative Craig Doyle and a light show at the Allianz Stadium once Twickenham. We Quins fans hoped for the second half comeback of 2022 but it was never going to be.

It was a strange Quins side that started: Cassius Cleave came in for Isgro Sam Carr for Will Evans and Finn Baxter and Tyrone Greene injured. Bristol Bears had the returning NFL man Louis Zammit Mills at full back. Van Rensburg will shortly qualify for England who are hardly short of back rowers. In that regard , Chandler Cunningham South was arguably Quins best player but even his thrusting runs could not match the 50 yard dash of England Prop Ellis Genge to score. It was Bristol not Quins who dominated the second half
