buzzwords

The problem with buzzwords is they go out of fashion so quickly.

Once “uptight” was the ‘in  word” for tense, but nowadays people are “stressed”.

The currently fashionable buzzwords are “100% ” (“quite right”);  “you guys”‘ and “literally” which – as with “it’s like” – does not actually add to the meaning.  You often hear ‘ cool’ ( meaning okay)

A 25 year old I know uses the word ‘Karen’ as descriptive of a young thicko girl.

It’s a sign of our times that messages on WhatsApp have to be brief and accompanied by an emoji …
