Why have Brighton gone off the boil? 5 games without a win.

In short the squad has been stretched by campaigning in the Europa League and Premiership and key injuries.

Kouru Mitoma now joins Solly March in being out for the rest of the season.

Also in the absence of Joao Pedro we lack a consistent goal scorer

At Craven Cottage yesterday we were never at the races.

We had a few chances but did not convert them. Roberto de Zerbi made 7 changes after the cup defeat at Wolves.

Playing van der Hecke in midfield did not work and Evan Ferguson’s goal touch failed him. I felt that de Zerbi’s mind was on the Europa league game against AS Roma in the Olimpico.
