The Old Course at the Royal Ashdown Forest Golf Club near Forest Row is one of the most impressive and demanding I know.
Yesterday she was showing herself in all her glory – the sky a patchwork of dark, forbidding areas hinting of torrential rain and snow-white fluffed-up clouds and bright sunshine, the landscape as beautiful as I have ever seen it.
A truly great place to be …. let alone playing golf.
[Too bad that the M23 – both carriageways – south of the M25 intersection was a disaster area – a mash-up of road works and gridlocked traffic].
