Golfing update
With our pages dominated by those cavorting on the Riviera I have had less opportunity to boast about my golf betting. Last weekend was the best ever with Jeremy Chapman picking the winner at the Heritage (Kevin Chappell) and Shenzhen (Bernard Wieberger in a play off with another Chappers pick (Tommy Fleetwood). He also had selected Ross Fisher and Brandon Grace in the top five.
This week we are in the China swing of the European Tour with the Volvo and in the USA PGA the Zurich which is 2 golfer format playing foursomes and four balls. These are hard to predict as do you go for 2 bombers like Bubba Watson and JD Holmes or a fusion of big hitting (Jamie Lovemark) with a short game maestro (Luke Donald)? Chappers fancies Spieth/Palmer, Stensen/Rose, Chappell/Woodland, Thomas /Cauley. One of his picks Alenxadre Levy is the current tourney leader in the Volvo. Considering the normal field is 100 golfers it’s quite something to pick top five finishers so consistently.
Congratulations to Fulham whom Alan Tanner persuaded me to back each way. I shall be following their last 2 games with as much interest as Alan. They have put together a tremendous run, play good football but after 6 seasons of consecutive decline it was more out of allegiance to Alan that the Pargie tenner went on them at the start of the season.
