Harlequins 19 Toulouse 47

Every so often in sport an invincible non-international side that would probably beat an international one appears.

I’m thinking of Barbados in cricket in the 1960s, AC Milan in the 1980s and – in rugby union – Transvaal and Auckland in the 1990s.

Toulouse, with André Dupont and half the French team are such a side, so no disgrace to lose to them.

One of the joys of rugby as opposed to football is its non-tribalism and Quins and their fans can and should sit back and admire.

Toulouse ran in 7 tries and were comfortable victors.

Quins this season are no pushover and have much more heft in their scrum. Thus the loss of lock Dino Lamb was massive and Caden Murley’s injury clearly affected his mobility.

You need your best players fit and active against Toulouse.
