Harlequins 29 Saracens 30 (Premiership Cup)

iI always enjoy watching both the youth of Quins – and beating Sarries – but only the first materialised on Saturday.

Quins Marcus Smith, Caden Murley and Fin Baxter were with England, as were Sarries’ Jamie George, Theo Dann, Ben Earl and Eliot Daly.

Young Cassius Cleaves, so light of foot for Quins, got a game as did stalwarts Nick David, Alex Dombrandt and Tyrone Green.

Dombers (Alex Dombrandt) – on his 159th appearance for the club – was in great form, but you can’t see him being picked for England ahead of Earl, Jack Willis or Alfie Barbary.

It was a tight game which the viewers would have enjoyed even if they are confused by the plethora of rugby competitions.
