Quins sit atop of the Premiership but there are cracks.

Marcus Smith only converted 2 of the 5 tries and, defensively improved, they still look vulnerable.

Joe Marler, Jack Walker, Marcus Smith, André Esterhuizen and Danny Care are all back from the World Cup whilst Will Porter, Nick David, Lennox Anyanwu and – above all – Louis Lynagh have performed well in their absence.

It was interesting to see former Quin Mike Brown, who played over 300 games for them and was rewarded with a bar named after him but no contract, turn out for the Tigers as full back.

It was a typically ding-dong encounter with a close finish but champions? Not yet.
