Masters Preview
Even with the schism of LIV v PGA the Masters is always to look forward to and savour. Indeed the tourneys that will suffer from avoidance by the Liv golfers are more likely to be the non Majors.
The Masters is the first Major and the only one played always on the same course in Augusta.
It’s also the only Major which Rory McIlroy has yet to win and, as it has been 10 years without a Major, I cannot see this happening this year.
It seems unlikely that he will join that exclusive Grand Slam Club of Gene Sarazen, Ben Hogan, Gary Player, Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods by wearing the Green Jacket on Sunday night.
The smart money is on Scottie Scheffler but at 9-4 the Masterschef does not offer value.
Instead, with bookies paying out 8 places, the value lies with Xander Schauffele, perennial Major winner Brooks Koepka and Camerons Young and Snith.
