Masters Preview
I have a feeling that Dustin Johnson will not be re-ordering Pigs in the Blanket (whatever they are) for the traditional Green Jacket winner meal but the cuisine will either be Texmex (Justin Thomas or Jordan Spieth) of Paella con Gambas (Jon Rahm)
The Masters seemed to come round very quickly till I remembered that, because of the Pandemic, it was the last of the 2020 Majors and the first of the 2021 season in traditional early April.
In some ways it’s not the most demanding of Majors: the fairways are wide and the rough light, you do not encounter the high winds of Royal St. George’s which can mean a 3 wood one round and a six iron on the next for the same hole.
However the greens are deadly, which is why precision chipping is the order of the day,
and why I prefer the three I mentioned to D.J Johnson or the US Open winner Bryson DeChambeau.
If you are looking for value I would go each way on Sergio Garcia, Cameron Smith ,Xavier Schauffele or Correy Connors.
