My team/ Goole Town

People adopt a football team for all sorts of reasons.

A few years ago I was on a club med holiday with my then boyfriend. We met a man called Eric, who worked for Marks and Spencers. He said their most popular dish was duck a l’ orange in every store ” from Sidmouth to Goole”. This became our holiday catch phrase and, as I could not find a team in Sidmouth, I plumped for  Goole. I was therefore shocked to read Karl Colley of Goole had ” done a Cantona”. I think I will now follow Manchester United by way of protest.
