Nothing to write home about
1st January 2017: Aviva Premiership: Worcester Warriors v Harlequins at Sixways: Result – Worcester Warriors 24 Harlequins 17.
This season I made a commitment (on a personal level not as regards my editors on the Rust) to report on every Harlequins game.
The truth is that I did not follow this match on television, radio or via the internet. The match was not covered live on television and, because I was in transit on the roads of the UK for the entirety of its duration, I was neither able to access any BBC local radio commentary nor the internet and therefore only discovered its outcome after reaching home in the early evening.
Accordingly, for those who wish to find out what happened and how the result came out as it did I suggest you either buy a newspaper and/or access any of the rugby websites which you normally visit.
All I have gleaned so far is that there were a spate of injuries, the Worcester pack dominated ours and a losing bonus point was about as positive an outcome as we could have expected given the way that events unfolded.
My only concluding and passing comment would be that Quins’ record this season of never having won ‘on the road’ in Premiership was extended by another match.
