Phew! It’s tough even keeping up
We live in what can be described as ‘interesting’ times – what with Jeremy Corbyn becoming leader of the Labour Party, the EU Referendum and Brexit, Donald Trump becoming US President-elect, Mr Putin’s Russia continuing to flex its geo-political muscles and European potentially entering a period of potentially volatile leadership elections and issues consequently arising.
I’m not a huge fan of The Independent newspaper but today I saw a series of reports or articles on its website that seem to reinforce and provide symptoms of exactly what I referred to in my opening paragraph above.
Try these:
Rob Merrick, the Indie’s deputy political editor, on Tory Brexit minister being accused of having no idea what he’s talking about – see here – INDEPENDENT (1)
Andrew Buncombe on President-elect Donald Trump performing another U-turn upon one of the policies that allegedly took him to the White House – see here – INDEPENDENT (2)
Sean O’Grady on why Brexit won’t actually happen anyway – see here – INDEPENDENT (3)
Any unattributed piece on how Hillary Clinton won the popular vote by a big margin but Trump still came out trumps via the US Electoral College – see here – INDEPENDENT (4)
