Spurs 1 Brighton 0
Braveheart Brighton threw their bodies on the line but cruelly Spurs got their winner in the 88th minute through Christian Eriksen.
Braveheart is not the best cinema comparison – Zulu! would be as it was like Rorke’s Drift at Spurs new stadium as Lewis Dunk threw himself at and into the onslaught with at least 2 goal-saving interceptions.
The stats show that this was Brighton’s 7th game without scoring and that they are the only Premier team not to have a shot on target in 3 games, but these do not reflect a gutsy performance of which all Seagull fans would be justly proud.
Two games on Saturday assume epic proportions. Alan Tanner’s Fulham must help us by beating Cardiff whilst we must do the same at the Amex where Newcastle are the visitors.
