Links golf has its strengths and weaknesses.
Its strength is that it constitutes a severe test of golf when the wind and rain gets up and its weakness is that randomly the draw can favour a golfer.
Aside from Dustin Johnson, the big scores were made in the morning. The other talking point was the length it took for a round, in some case 6 hours.
The Racing Post advocated the 13-8 offered that Tiger would miss the cut.
I don’t feel comfortable in that market, particularly as I would be so pleased if the 42 year old, 14 time Major winner, was around for the weekend.
