The US PGA

Brooks Koepka won his third PGA trophy – known as the Wanamaker – and therefore became the first LIV Player to win a Major.

There are some, like Colin Mongomerie and Lee Westwood, that have never won a Major and others who are unlikely to win a further one (Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy and Jason Day).

I put the Pargie tenner on 5 who have yet to win but look like they have ability to do so (Schauffele, Max Homa, Tyrell Hatton, Tony Finau and Correy Connors.

Connors led after the first day and looked a likely each-way bet but fell away at the end.

Some said that the downpour of biblical proportions that descended on Saturday ruined the event but a Major winner has to triumph in all conditions, as Koepka duly did.

He is now a top six player and that guarantees him a Ryder Cup place.

However, playing in LiV events, he may lose this ranking. It seems unimaginable that Zack Johnson will not pick him.
