Tickler’s Book of Practical Cats
A not infrequent occurrence in my household is the noise of crashing objects. At first I feared it was an intruder then I realised it my cat Cassius sighting another moggy whom we call the “little Madam”.
The little Madam’s Manor is the boardwalk by the Marina and patios of various flats.
Cassius does not go out but, on sighting little Madam in our back yard, he goes berserk and crashes through the blinds, knocking over anything in his path. They then glare at one another like boxers at a weigh-in. I can’t work out if Cassius is in love or on guard duty.
