I was so delighted after 3 years absence to see the Rust Team back in my city.

We had an awful lockdown with restaurants and the market closed.

Older Nicois said it was worse than the German occupation.

The city is now its old vibrant self with almost all restrictions lifted.

We now have new problems. Mega-rich Russians have always liked the Riviera.

The government is trying to seize their assets – mansions and super yachts – but the real ownership is concealed by companies registered in tax havens.

Our team OGC Nice are sixth in Ligue Une with 61 points.

After beating PSG in the French Cup on March 5th they have only taken 5 points from their last 6 games.

On Tuesday they lost 0-1 to Monaco.

European competition is possible but most likely the Europa League.

Nice is owned by Ineos the pharmaceutical company of Sir James Ratcliffe.

His cycling team Ineos Grenadiers recently recorded a win by Dylan van Baerle in the Paris-Roubaux classic.
