The Tanner Report: Bournemouth 1 Fulham 0
Once again Fulham lived up to their billing of beating a big boy (Liverpool) but falling short to a team below them (Bournemouth).
The home side got off to the best possible start with Semenyo capitalising on an uncharacteristic error by Antonee Robinson to score.
The Cherries might have added a second when Evanilson struck the bar, but after that Fulham took control – our best chance being a free header by Sessegnon at the back post straight at the Bournemouth keeper.
Bournemouth – with the best player on the pitch Dean Huijsen and the highly-rated left back Korkez – were worthy winners but this was a sterile performance by our lads.
Bournemouth have now taken the 8th place in the league but I would not write off Fulham’s European qualification yet.
Next up is Chelsea at home on Easter Sunday. Fulham scored a late winner in a memorable victory at Stamford Bridge earlier in the season, so 3 points are certainly not beyond us.
