The Tanner Report: Fulham 1 Blackpool 1

This was a match marred by the death from a heart attack of Fulham fan Paul Parish in the Hammersmith End.

The players came off but treatment could not revive him. Inevitably and understandably this affects the game.

Fulham were one up with a well-worked move, Fabio Carvalho finding Alex Mitrovic for a tap in.

Harry Wilson displayed his sublime skill with a brilliant lob just wide of the goal but Fulham did not add to the score.

Blackpool pressed in the send half, hitting the bar and their equaliser from ex-Fulham academy player Josh Bowler came as no surprise.

Coach Marco Silva has been ruing the loss of talented academy players of which Bowler was one.

Another – Ryan Sessegnon – has not pulled up any trees at Spurs and Hull are rumoured to be interested.

Yet another – Patrick Roberts – is now at Sunderland after a an initial move to to Manchester City

You cannot expect to win every game and Fulham are still 5 points clear at the top but coach Marco Silva was right to be critical of the performance.
