The Tanner report; Fulham 1 Reading 0

Fulham for the first time this season moved up to second and automatic promotion place. Play-offs are now guaranteed but with 4 games to go we have every chance of the automatic berth. The next two matches are derbies againat Brentford and Millwall. The latter still have play-off ambitions. The non-losing run has extended to 20 games which is a colossal  achievement and coach Slavisa Jokatovic must take the lion’s share of the credit but also praise to whoever scouted Alex Mitrovic and Matt Targett as these proved crucial signings.

Cardiff have a game in hand but a tough one at Derby. Fulham have the better goal difference which puts more pressure on the faltering Bluebirds.

It was not a vintage performance. In the first 25 minutes Reading created the better chances. This is however a grittier side than last season and with Tim Ream imperious at the back you do feel Fulham are capable of defending a lead.
