The Tanner Report: Fulham 1 Swansea 0, and social media.

Alex Mitrovic was not having a good game against Swansea. Three chances which he would have normally converted went astray before he muffed a penalty in the 87th minute.

Oh well another 3 points lost.

Then Abou Kamara in the final minute crossed and there  was Mitro to head home. That is a true striker: he can play indifferently and then win the match.

There are still 33 points to play for but WBA and Leeds are winning and creating a gap between them and us in third place.

In the week I received an email from a despondent fan who quoted a Fulham blog which  said Fulham rarely target wide areas. Really?

Joe Bryan, our attacking left back, has created 6 assists for Mitro. We have 2 wingers in Cavaleiro and Knockaert.

I sometimes wonder if these know-alls are watching the same game as me. And if they are they are long on critique but short on solutions

The problem is exactly the opposite of the blog sent to me . Tom Cairney is not influential enough in central midfield.

He was Wednesday. Up the field he can shoot, spray the ball and run into the openings.

In the week I spoke to a former window cleaning apprentice of mine-  Carl -who rose to be the Count of Coastal Chamois.

He follows Manchester United and shares my views on social media.

He switched off Manchester City against Real as all the pundits were hoping that City would remain in Europe and have their penalty quashed.

Oddly enough at the same game I took exception on Radio 5 to all those know-alls that Mark Chapman was quoting to the effect Pep Guardiola was getting it wrong.

After their  2-1- victory I secretly hoped that Chapman would ask these anonymous wiseacres for their comments but no chance.
