The Tanner Report: Fulham 2 Bournemouth 2

E

One of the curiosities of this successful season is that Fulham’s away form is superior to that at Craven Cottage. We have beaten Nottingham Forest and Chelsea away – and drawn at Anfield – but lately lost to Wolves at home and drew with Southampton and Bournemouth.

Bournemouth are above Fulham and currently on a 7-match unbeaten run. The appointment of Andoni Iraola has worked well and they are no pushovers. Twice they went behind and then came back – a draw was a fair reflection.

After a dreadful foul by Christie they were lucky not to be reduced to 10 men but generally took the game to Fulham.

Defensively mistakes were made as – for their first goal – Joachim Andersen found himself the wrong side of Evanilson and their second goal followed Diop giving the ball away.
