Although there were some Fulham fans disappointed by this draw I was not one of them. Marvo Silva had to set up with 7 absentees and came up with a 3-5-1-1 which worked well against à Liverpool side with far greater resources and anxious to achieve a Champions League finish. As against Manchester City when we were 0-3 and 1-5 down we finished strongly We levelled with a brilliant strike from all people substitute enforcer Harrison Reed who beat Alison from 30 yards.

The only bone of contention was the Wirtz equalised In my opinion if it takes 3 minutes for VAR to decide an offside which totally detracts from the continuity and theatre of football then it not should overrule a goal Surely the resolution ‘ too difficult to decide ‘ can be made and the original decision of offside stand?
