The Tanner Report : Fulham 3 Brighton. 0
Brighton have never beaten Fulham in the Premiership and never looked like doing so yesterday.
Rodrigo Muniz continued his good form with a superb diving header making it 5 goals in 5 games.
His link up play was good too and it finally looks like Fulham have found a replacement for Alex Mitrovic.
Calvin Bassey also had a fine match at the heart of the Fulham defence and his pairing with Tosin was most effective.
Over the years Fulham have had brilliant partnerships on central defence like Roger Brown and Tony Gale and Brede Hangeland and Aaron Hughes but this pair might just rival them.
Tosin’s contract is up at the end of the season however and he may move on.
One unusual aspect of the match was the number of a Italians in the Putney End where I sit. They were making quite a racket and it was agreeable not to be drowned by the chanting of away supporters who occupy a third of the end.
I was struck by the number of overseas supporters and it seems that Fulham is a popular choice for football tourists.
Following the excellent victory at Old Trafford Fulham are finishing the season strongly and may have some bearing on who ultimately wins the Premiership as they still play Liverpool , Manchester City Newcastle and Spurs.
I invited Ivan Conway.
I will leave him to review Brighton ‘s performance.
