The Tanner Report Stoke City 1 Fulham 2

The match reflected the gap between a middle of the table Premier side and à championship equivalent. Marco Silva rang 10. changes and his side nearly came undone after Stoke took the lead. However Fulham now have strength in  depth and as the game progressed wingers Kevin and àOscar Bobb made an increasing impact.    Stoke owed much to young keeper Tim Simkin who produced 2 World class saves. Kevin eventually beat him but in  Sim kin made poorc throw, stand in  skipper Harrison Reed dispossessed the defender to ram home the winner.

Otherwise the round was notable for the absence of VAR though those who advocate it could cite a poor unquestioned decision  by Chris Kavanagh  The other point to note that Silva was not the only gaffer to ring the changes  Kieron Mckenna of Ipswich made 10 as well and he was not alone outside the Premiership in resting key players

Fulham are stil waiting for Silva to renew his contract or not .  He did not appear to be in the frame fot either The Spurs or Notttingham Forest jobs but more will surely become available  thhiugh not to his liking  Scott Parker ar Burnley and Fabian Hürzeler are two others currently feeling the heat
