The Tanner Report : Crystal Palace 2 Fulham 0
This was a game that Fulham had to win – or at very least not lose – to maintain the momentum of the second half recovery against Brighton. Three points would put us within striking distance of the group just above the relegation zone. It was a sterile performance with one shot on goal.
For the second game running Cyrus Christie displayed his defensive inadequacies by lifting his arm and striking the ball with it on the very edge of the box when there was not that much danger.
Luca Mihilojevic of Palace converted the penalty.
Before that Mitrovic had an easy header from close in which missed the target. It was to prove our only goal attempt.
The second half response was passive.
To stay up Fulham need 6 wins from 13 games.
Four of these are at home to Manchester United, Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool. So we must look for at least three wins on the road.
Claudio Ranieri in the last two games has started with 5-3-2 and switched at half time to a more offensive 4-4-2.
He has omitted Ryan Sessegnon, after Mitrovic the best finisher in the club.
Nothing convinces me we can stay up as we are 7 points (8 after taking our poor goal average into account) from safety.
We have conceded 55 goals, so to win a game we must score 3 as we are going to concede 2.
