TheTanner Report: Brighton 0 Fulham 0

I  certainly always enjoy the trip to Brighton and was sad that the current restrictions prevented this.

One of the reasons for the good feeling between the two clubs is the number of players that have graced both.

In recent years David Stockdale, big Dan Burn and Steve Sidwell have performed well in a white and blue shirt.

Before them seven of Micky Adams’ Fulham promotion side played for the same manager in achieving promotion for Brighton.

Before him we remember Stan Brown, a stalwart of Fulham’s midfield in the sixties, who hailed from Lewes and travelled up in the train to every home match with three other Fulham supporters.

Bobby Decordova-Reid deputised for the suspended Antonee Robinson at left wing back and looked out of position.

Ivan Cavaleiro did not look a central striker but the defensive unit was strong.

I particularly like right-back Aina who always puts in a good shift.

We might have won in the closing minutes but that would have been an unfair reflection of the play.

This Saturday we have another six-pointer against WBA and the side will be more settled with the return of Robinson.  My concern  is we have only two wins all season and  tend to perform much better against the teams higher up thetable.
