Verona

The relationship between the National Rust and airport security is not a happy one.

One of of my colleagues left his Ipad there and yesterday’s Bob Tickler’s was taken in error by a fellow traveller from the carousel after security checking and then departed on his flight to Dubrovnik.

A distressed Bob demanded the flight be taken down by RAF tornados but happily it was returned to him on our flight to Verona.

Not the most auspicious of starts.

The trip was the idea of Michael Stuart to see Carmen, Aida and la Traviata at the famous Roman amphitheatre on Verona.

It was my first tip to Verona, situated more door less midway between Milan and Venice, and the home of Romeo and Juliet, Veronese, the football team Team Hellas Verona and some interesting cuisine and wines.

More anon.
