Estiatorio Milos

Milos is a Greek fish restaurant at 1 Regent St which I visited for the second time on Wednesday.

Like Imperial Treasure (Chinese cuisine), which is opposite, it has raised the bar of ethnic cuisine.

Fresh fish is flown in daily.

I ordered grilled octopus over Santorini fava  which – in my language and tastes – is hummus and for mains sea bream.

Both flavoursome.

I completed with walnut cake, all courses offered on their weekday lunch menu (£41-50).

I had a glass of white Morscho filero (£12) – expensive.

Total bill for 2 = £150.  Not cheap but very good.

The location is the former British Columbia Building which I think was once a bank. It was full and clearly popular with youngish financiers and rich more elderly Greeks who fancy the healthy option  ( not greasy kebabs and mushy mese) but not, as I sashayed to the loo, the Daffers one!!!
