Speakimg to Fulham’s Alan Tanner he found it surprising that the FA Cup is not taken more seriously :-
‘Realistically Fulham won’t win the Championship and it will be tough to qualify for the Champions League. Thus à cup run is a great fillip for the fansand team with a final feasible. For many years ghe 1975 Final v Wembley was our Greatest Day and Alan Mullery leading out the team appeared on the Programme cover for a couple of seasons afterwards.
